Fun Facts
Favorite Ouachita memory
I have to admit that I love Tiger Tunes, and many of my best moments are connected
to the unique Ouachita Homecoming weekend. I experienced the thrill of winning Tiger
Tunes with the men of Kappa Chi back in 1995, and I was selected to perform as a host
in 1994 and 1996. Fun times, and great memories!
What do you wish students knew about Ouachita?
I wish that all students realized the amazing opportunity that they have to study
abroad while at Ouachita! It is the perfect time of life to set out on a semester-long
international adventure. We have many study abroad options from which to choose. Once
you graduate and enter the "real world," it becomes much more difficult to travel
and see the world. And why you are at it, why not learn how to speak another language?
It will change your life!
What is your favorite study spot on campus and why?
I have always loved going down to the Speer Pavilion. It is just a few steps away
from the Evans Student Center, but it feels like you are miles away from campus. It
is so quiet and peaceful. I love sitting on the swinging chair by the river and having
alone time.
What do you like most about working with students?
I enjoy getting to hear their life stories. I love learning how God brought each of
them from literally all over the world to this special place called Ouachita.
