Fun Facts
Favorite Ouachita memory
My favorite Ouachita memory is what is now called WOW (Welcome to Ouachita's World).
I knew no-one on campus and was pretty nervous about moving in. Within a short amount
of time, I had made many new friends and had begun to feel that Ouachita was home.
What do you wish students knew about Ouachita?
What I wish people knew about Ouachita is how much this place is like a family. We
care about each other. It is common for faculty and staff to have students over for
meals in their home.
What is your favorite spot on campus and why?
Berry Chapel. Every time I enter it, I feel a sense of peace. If I want to get off
by myself and think, the chapel – especially the balcony – is the place I want to
go.
What do you like most about working with students?
My favorite part about working with students is getting to hear their stories. I love
hearing about what they plan to do with their life and why. I also enjoy hearing about
the various factors that led them to consider Ouachita.
What are your favorite movies?
My go-to movies are ... I have a wide range of movies that I will watch! But, there
are a few that I will watch over and over: "While You Were Sleeping," which I watch
every year at Christmas; "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" because it is quirky and has
great repeatable lines, and "Pride and Prejudice" (Keira Knightley version) because
it is a great story and a beautiful movie.
