Ouachita's Dr. Johnny Wink to be honored for 50 years of service
September 15, 2023The Department of Language & Literature at Ouachita Baptist University will honor Dr. Johnny Wink, Betty Burton Peck Professor of English, during a campus reception Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 6:30-8 p.m. in McClellan Hall’s Green-Blevins Rotunda. Open to the public, the party will begin with a brief ceremony to be followed by an informal gathering celebrating Wink’s 50 years on the Ouachita faculty.
Ouachita to honor more than 350 graduates during May 14 Commencement
May 06, 2022Ouachita Baptist University will hold its 135th Spring Commencement Saturday, May 14, at 9:30 a.m. on the front lawn of Cone-Bottoms Hall. The ceremony honors more than 350 graduates who have earned Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science degrees, as well as those who have earned post-baccalaureate certificates for Dietetic Internship. The nursing graduates, a cohort of 19, are the university’s first-ever B.S.N. degree recipients.
Ouachita to host faculty recital featuring Drs. Chung and Feller on March 14
March 08, 2022Ouachita Baptist University’s School of Fine Arts will host Dr. Mary Chung, pianist, and Dr. Carlos Feller, flutist, in concert on Tuesday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. in McBeth Recital Hall. The recital is free and open to the public.
Ouachita to host Art and Design Faculty Biennial Exhibit through Feb. 26
February 18, 2021Ouachita Baptist University’s Rosemary Adams Department of Art and Design is hosting its Art and Design Faculty Biennial Exhibit in the Rosemary Gossett Adams Gallery, located in Moses-Provine Hall, through Friday, Feb. 26. The exhibit features the work of the Ouachita’s Art and Design faculty members and is free and open to the public.
Ouachita to host author, retired Lt. Col. Mark McGraw for memoir reading on Nov. 5
October 24, 2019Ouachita Baptist University’s Department of Language and Literature will host author Dr. Mark McGraw in a debut reading of his newly published memoir, Behind Friendly Lines: Memoirs of a U.S. Marine in Chile, on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. The event will be held in room 200 of Hickingbotham Hall and is free and open to the public. There also will be time for questions from the audience after the reading.

The concert is free and open to the public.
