Ouachita International Students Video Competition
Presented by the Friends of the Grant Center
We’re excited to invite international students to share their unique “Ouachita Story” through video! This competition gives you the chance to showcase how you discovered Ouachita, your journey to Arkansas and how living and studying here has shaped your experience.
Competition Details:
- Grand Prize: $200
- Video Length: Approximately 90 seconds
- Format: Horizontal (for YouTube upload)
- Content: Primarily video footage, but still photos are allowed.
- Voiceover: Must include a voiceover describing your journey (For example: how you first heard about Ouachita, why you chose to come to Arkansas, how campus life has impacted you, the friends you've made, the adventures you’ve had, etc...)
- People: Include yourself and any friends or fellow students in the video.
- Focus: Showcase the culture and experiences of life as an international student at Ouachita, and reflect the values of our community and mission.
- Original Work: Footage must be original
- Submission Info: Include your name and the country you’re from, as well as any details about your Ouachita experience that you wish to highlight.

Winning entries will be showcased at the Friends of the Grant Center for International Education Annual Meeting on Feb. 18, 2025, and featured on Ouachita’s website and social media to inspire future international students. By submitting, you agree that the university may use your video for promotional purposes, including on websites, social media and other marketing materials, without compensation. A panel of Ouachita staff and alumni with videography experience will select the winners.
