Study Abroad Video Competition
Presented by the Friends of the Grant Center
We’re looking for your best footage to showcase Ouachita's international travel opportunities! This competition is a chance to highlight student talent while capturing the stories and experiences of Ouachita students abroad.
Competition Details:
- Grand Prize: $200
- Video Length: Approximately 90 seconds
- Format: Horizontal (for YouTube upload)
- Content: Mainly video footage, but some still images are allowed.
- Voiceover: Must include a voiceover describing the footage, explaining the significance of the location, culture or experience. (If background music is used, make sure that the volume is low enough so that the voiceover can be easily heard.)
- Focus: Showcase the culture, landscape and the spirit of Ouachita’s study abroad mission.
- Original Work: Footage must be original and taken on location.
- Submission Info: Include your name and the country where the video was shot.

Winning entries will be showcased at the Friends of the Grant Center for International Education Annual Meeting on Feb. 18, 2025, and featured on Ouachita’s website to encourage others to study abroad. By submitting, you agree that the university may use your video for promotional purposes, including on websites, social media and other marketing materials, without compensation. A panel of Ouachita staff and alumni with videography experience will select the winners.
